Rustington Convalescent Home, a beautiful Grade II listed building set in gardens, is located on the Sussex coast with views overlooking the sea and sandy beach.
During your stay with us you will benefit from a combination of sea air, tranquil surroundings, top quality and friendly nursing care, and excellent food freshly prepared every day by our own chef. The Sussex coast enjoys a mild climate and we are open all year round.
Our aim will be to get you back on your feet and enjoying life to the full again as quickly as possible following a period of illness, an accident, or a stay in hospital.
We also provide peace of mind respite care in a friendly and supportive environment and treat all our guests with the same dignity and respect.
Top quality nursing care
Your nursing needs will be met by professionally qualified nursing staff – 24 hours a day if required – and a local doctor is on call.
You are also welcome to take part in our programme of social events and activities as part of your recovery and recuperation.
A generous endowment from the Home’s founder, Sir Henry Harben, means that we can keep our fees affordable without compromising on the quality of care and services we provide.
Rustington Convalescent Home is a charity. It relies heavily on its Trust Fund to subsidize by more than 50% the costs of each Service User. The Trustees are determined to sustain this public benefit for many years to come, as well as enhancing the facilities of the Home, but the costs of convalescent and respite care and of maintaining the fabric of the building and estate will place an increasing burden on the Trust in the future. As a result, all donations to the Home, however small, are most welcome. If you are a UK Taxpayer and you make your donation through Gift Aid, the Home can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It won’t cost you any extra. If you pay tax at the higher or additional rate, you can claim the difference between the rate you pay and basic rate on your donation. You can download Gift Aid Forms here: Multiple Donation or Single Donation. The Trustees will aim to ensure that any significant bequests or legacies are marked in an enduring fashion.
Meeting the highest standards
You can be sure that the level of care and service our professionally qualified staff provide is of the highest quality. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission which means we are regularly inspected to make sure we meet national standards. You can trust us to take exceptional care of you or your loved one.
Our highly experienced Home Manager will oversee every aspect of your stay with us, while the overall management of Rustington Convalescent Home is the responsibility of the Worshipful Company of Carpenters, a City of London Livery Company.
To ensure everyone’s comfort and safety, we have a no-smoking policy inside the Home.
